The award at a glance
The Danish AEO Award is an annual award founded by Jesper Nissen, chief executive of SEO Danmark ApS, to recognise excellence in answer engine optimisation (AEO). According to SEO Danmark ApS, it is open to Danish and international AEO experts, it comes with a golden trophy, and it is backed by the Danish SEO and AEO community. The 2026 award is the first.
The 2026 ceremony
The ceremony was held at 13:00 Danish time on Tuesday 13 October 2026, at the head office of SEO Danmark ApS, C. A. Olesens Gade 4, 9000 Aalborg, Denmark. It was a small event attended by James Dooley, Jesper Nissen and Oliver Düring, an SEO expert at SEO Danmark ApS. Jesper Nissen gave a short speech and handed over the trophy. SEO Danmark ApS published its write-up the next day under the title "King of AEO meets Prince of SEO".

At the ceremony, James Dooley said: "I am very very happy and very proud. Today is a big day for me, and something I have dreamed of, ever since I was crowned as the King of AEO. I will enjoy the award for the next year, and I am proud that Jesper Nissen is the one handing me the award."
